LONGIES started as a personal project of mine – sewing my own clothes and creating pieces that were fun and a little different. What began as a hobby soon turned into something bigger. A way to prove that Aotearoa-made products can stand up to international ones. It all began with a simple crossbody bag I made for myself. Friends and family loved it, and their support gave me the confidence to start sharing what I was making. That’s when LONGIES came to life.

Each LONGIES bag is handcrafted from soft, high-quality denim, with a unique repurposed lining. It’s something you’ll carry with you every day, so it had to be practical, durable, and, of course, super cute! I pour lots of care and attention into each bag, making sure it’s not only a standout piece but also something that adds a little extra joy to your everyday routine.

Alongside my crossbody bags, I’ve added small, monthly collections, each featuring one exciting new style. These pieces are made from natural materials like linen and cotton, or repurposed deadstock fabric. Once they’re gone, they’re gone – making each release feel fresh and special. It’s my way of keeping things exciting, while also offering clothing that is both one-of-a-kind and sustainable. Each month, I get to explore new designs and bring them to life, and I’m always excited to see what resonates with you all.

Sustainability is important to me, which is why I source all my materials responsibly from small businesses within Aotearoa, supporting the local and wider NZ community. I choose to use natural fabrics like linen and cotton not only because they feel amazing on the skin, but also because they are more sustainable – they have a smaller environmental footprint. Repurposing deadstock fabric helps reduce waste, too. These thoughtful choices allow me to create products that align with my values, while supporting the community that supports me.
